The Perfect Brow

I don't know about y'all but I am a brow snob.
To me, the brow makes the face!
I have definitely had my eyebrow oopsies over my lifetime, one being a girl simply could not wax therefore creating a thing line of nothing on my face, it was embarrassing. I might have a picture to show you. But now with my experience in waxing and eye for the perfect brow, I think everyone should take a note or too and create your perfect brow!

Examples:

Kim K.
Simply stunning, she's Armenian which equals, uh-hem, hairy. (Plus they talk about it on the show...). Obviously she has to keep up with those bad boys and does so well at it!

I am obsessed with Megan Fox's brows. They are such a "sexy/fierce" shape. They really make her eyes pop!

Keys for the perfect brow:

Pencil/Filler

Cliniques Instant Lift for Brows
$15
and worth every penny. Excellent product.

Or you can go the more detailed "professional" route.

Macs 208 Small Angle Eyebrow Brush
$20
Get the brush damp and dab with a matte brown shadow.
When the brush is wet, a little goes a long way.

Mac's Brown Down
$14

Note: Please do not create a whole new eyebrow with a pencil or your brush and shadow, it is tacky and noticeable.
If you are unsatisfied with your eyebrow shape, GROW THEM OUT. It's okay if you look like Bert for a couple weeks, it will be worth it in the long run. If you are still unsatisfied or don't know how to reshape them, CALL ME.

How should your brow lay on your face?
It's all about your nose.
You want the beginning point to be directly straight up from the outside of your nostril, the end, about a 45 degree angle from that point. The arch? I always said the outside part of the colored part of your eye straight up but not everyone's eye shape can work that way. So on this photo below, it's measured from the center of your nose diagonaled outward. Gosh this is hard to explain via typing!! Got it? Make sense? I swear I know what I'm talking about..
Another example.
Results we want!!!

Good Brow..
Results we DON'T WANT!!!

Bad brow.... Come on Leighton.

And there you have it!
Now go make your perfect brows.

Vitamins & Deodorant

I was just sitting down talking with my husband about Vitamins and what not and how I take a crapload of them. I love them. They make me feel good!

What I take:

-Prenatal-
(Though I am not Preg, I am nursing and I have been taking this Vit for a couple years now. It rocks)
It's a great multivitamin in my opinion.

-Biotin-
Benefits: The benefits of Biotin are primarily to treat Biotin deficiency. Signs of Biotin deficiency include thin hair, brittle nails, balding, a rash located on facial areas as well as depression, loss of appetite, hallucinations, numbness in body extremes, fatigue and lethargy. So since I had a baby 5 1/2 months ago, I am balding. And it is not cute. Therefore I have begun taking Biotin faithfully and am hoping for positive results soon.

-Iron-
I am iron deficient and so I take an extra iron supplement on top of what's in my prenatal.
The Benefits of Iron: ENERGY.
Tired all the time? Take an Iron supplement. Or eat a hamburger. During my pregnancy I ate In-N-Out every night for a week cause I,
1. Needed Iron (hence the burger)
2. Because it's delicious.

-B-Complex-
Benefits: It is FILLED with amazing things! All your B vitamins including Folic Acid, and Biotin.
My sister was telling me she was talking to a client who was so happy and positive and she asked what she does to be so happy and her answer: she takes B vitamins! I was sold after hearing that story, now, I can't live without them.

Alright so after we were discussing Vitamins, we got onto a topic he read about regarding
"anti-perspirant" deodorants.

Sources:
Read HERE
And HERE

And you can look up many other reasons why you should not use an anti-perspirant deodorant.
Not gonna lie, I am a Dove girl. But after doing my research, I will be switching over completely.
Adidas carries a great Deodorant that is not an anti-persirant but it includes cotton to soak up any kind of excretion (sweat).
I will buy. :]

And there you have it! Just an interesting tid-bit.

The Brow.

Brows are very important to me.
If you have crummy eyebrows, it's okay.
There are special tools to make your brows fab.

My best friend.
It is literally the best eyebrow pencil in the world.
If you disagree, you must tell me the one you use. Until then, this is truly the best.

Let me just tell you, I love Clinique.
I have recently converted over from their loose powder to their pressed and I am in love.

Also I am all about this product.

Put it on before bed and I am bound to have a good makeup day.

In school they kept telling us how bad Clinique is for you skin.
I wasn't buying it.
My mother in law has GORGEOUS skin and guess what?
She is a dedicated Cliniquee.

Sooo I gave it a shot.
They have some really great products and I have yet to be disappointed! And I will continue to be a Cliniquee until the day I die.
Xoxo.

Softening Stretch Mark Lines

Next question to answer?

"can you do a post about making stretch marks look better without spending tons of $$?"

I have been wanting to do a "stretch mark" post so I am really glad you asked Karen!
First off, what your poor body goes through during pregnancy is simply horrifying. And let's not talk about what you look like in the mirror post pardom...

In my whole pregnancy since the day I had found out a bun was in the oven, I stayed faithful putting on my creams and butters every single night.
The result?

I have NO STRETCH MARKS
on my tummy that is.

Now the girls upstairs, that I neglected from lathering with my creams and butters therefore, scarred all over. Looks like cat scratches. Luckily for me they are beginning to fade but oh how I wish I could go back and be more aware that my tummy is not the only place I can get SM.
(Also going from a 34C to a 34E doesn't help either. Oh gosh.)

ANYWHO.
I tried an assortment of different lotions, butters, creams. The more the merrier right?

What I used:

*Queen Haan Cocoa Butter
*Palmers Tummy Butter (not the lotion, the actual butter, comes in a tin jar.)
*Vaseline Cocoa Butter

Now, what to do about my poor chest?

VITAMIN E.

I bought a little squirt container of Vit. E and have been putting it on everyday after I shower and before bed. I am telling you, this stuff is amazing. It's not going to get rid of your SM but it surely will reduce them. I also bought some Vitamin E lotion and put that all over as well and am really seeing some improvements.
I am so embarrassed for summer to come and putting on a bathing suit so I really am trying to dedicate myself to taking care of these nasty scars!

I am going to go above and beyond and purchase some Mederma (which is pretty pricey) but I am sure it will be worth it. I have heard that stuff works wonders.

Products to search for in the stores:
*Palmers Tummy Butter
*Cocoa Butters (I would recommend really any kind)
*Vitamin E
*Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy
*The Spoiled Mama's Tummy Butter
*Castor Oil
*Glycolic Acid
*And I am sure there are so many more products this is just what I can think of off the top of my head!

Good luck and let me know of your results!

Happy Friday!
