A Homemade Mask

Let's be honest, is your face feeling destroyed lately because of the dry winter weather?? I know mine is....therefore, we are in need of a deliciously hydrating mask. Masks are one of those things that are so easy to throw together! What makes it so easy is that you most likely will have the essentials in your refrigerator or cupboard.

Here's an idea for those with dry skin to try out and see if it will help loosen up that pretty face of yours.

What you need:

1 Egg Yolk
1 tsp. Honey
1 tsp. Olive Oil or some Vitamin E Oil if you have it.

Mix together and apply generously all over face neck chest where ever you want. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Pat dry and of course moisturize.

Why egg yolk you might ask? The Yolk of an egg is full of water and fat acting as a great emollient and water binding agent leaving your skin Soft, Supple, and Smooth.

Why Honey? Honey is very high in antioxidants and can give your skin the nutrients it needs to stay smooth and reverse the damage done by free radicals, making your skin glow.

Why Vitamin E? Vitamin E helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Dry skin tends to thin your skin therefore creating fine lines and wrinkles meaning you age faster! We don't want that.....Vitamin E it up!

Happy Wednesday :]

  1. I just found this recipe somewhere online last week and tried it out and it was great! My face is TRASHED this winter. I don't think I have ever had such dry skin. The mask helped it feel better for several days. I'm going to try doing it once a week for a while and see if it helps. I've also been putting honey on a few pimples at night and they literally dry up in a day. Good tips~ I love skincare that is made of things you can eat :)

I found your post through Iheartnaptime and look forward to reading through some of your other posts.
