The Brow.

Brows are very important to me.
If you have crummy eyebrows, it's okay.
There are special tools to make your brows fab.

My best friend.
It is literally the best eyebrow pencil in the world.
If you disagree, you must tell me the one you use. Until then, this is truly the best.

Let me just tell you, I love Clinique.
I have recently converted over from their loose powder to their pressed and I am in love.

Also I am all about this product.

Put it on before bed and I am bound to have a good makeup day.

In school they kept telling us how bad Clinique is for you skin.
I wasn't buying it.
My mother in law has GORGEOUS skin and guess what?
She is a dedicated Cliniquee.

Sooo I gave it a shot.
They have some really great products and I have yet to be disappointed! And I will continue to be a Cliniquee until the day I die.
Xoxo.

Softening Stretch Mark Lines

Next question to answer?

"can you do a post about making stretch marks look better without spending tons of $$?"

I have been wanting to do a "stretch mark" post so I am really glad you asked Karen!
First off, what your poor body goes through during pregnancy is simply horrifying. And let's not talk about what you look like in the mirror post pardom...

In my whole pregnancy since the day I had found out a bun was in the oven, I stayed faithful putting on my creams and butters every single night.
The result?

I have NO STRETCH MARKS
on my tummy that is.

Now the girls upstairs, that I neglected from lathering with my creams and butters therefore, scarred all over. Looks like cat scratches. Luckily for me they are beginning to fade but oh how I wish I could go back and be more aware that my tummy is not the only place I can get SM.
(Also going from a 34C to a 34E doesn't help either. Oh gosh.)

ANYWHO.
I tried an assortment of different lotions, butters, creams. The more the merrier right?

What I used:

*Queen Haan Cocoa Butter
*Palmers Tummy Butter (not the lotion, the actual butter, comes in a tin jar.)
*Vaseline Cocoa Butter

Now, what to do about my poor chest?

VITAMIN E.

I bought a little squirt container of Vit. E and have been putting it on everyday after I shower and before bed. I am telling you, this stuff is amazing. It's not going to get rid of your SM but it surely will reduce them. I also bought some Vitamin E lotion and put that all over as well and am really seeing some improvements.
I am so embarrassed for summer to come and putting on a bathing suit so I really am trying to dedicate myself to taking care of these nasty scars!

I am going to go above and beyond and purchase some Mederma (which is pretty pricey) but I am sure it will be worth it. I have heard that stuff works wonders.

Products to search for in the stores:
*Palmers Tummy Butter
*Cocoa Butters (I would recommend really any kind)
*Vitamin E
*Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy
*The Spoiled Mama's Tummy Butter
*Castor Oil
*Glycolic Acid
*And I am sure there are so many more products this is just what I can think of off the top of my head!

Good luck and let me know of your results!

Happy Friday!

Chicken Skin

One of the other questions someone asked me about was how to get rid of the dry red bumps that seem to form on the back of your arms. Align Center
This condition is called Keratosis Pilaris aka Chicken Skin and is completely normal and common.
All it is is a build up of excess keratin forming within the hair follicle.

There is not a natural cure for KP but you can treat it.
Some of the products I researched to help with KP is

*Glycolic Acid
* Vitamin A
*Retin-A
*Euercerin Lotions
*Taking a loofa and use Dove Nutrium Body Wash and scrub!
*Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin Acne Treatment Lotion (apply twice a day)
*And I actually read about an Asprin Mask!

Quote:

Aspirin Mask

Why does it work?
Aspirin is actually a form of Beta Hydroxy Acids or BHAs, which are found in many skin creams and work by exfoliating the dull, dead layers of skin, revealing fresh new skin underneath. Over time, BHAs can help clarify skin tone and promote healing of blemishes.

However, do not use the aspirin mask if you have a sensitivity to BHAs or if you have very sensitive skin, or obviously if you are allergic to aspirin!

How do you make it?
The Aspirin mask must be made with uncoated, dissolvable tablets. Take two or three tablets and dissolve in a teaspoon/tablespoon of warm water.

To Apply
Spread the mixture on the face, avoiding the eye area and leave for a few minutes until it dries. Very gently rub the mask for about 10 seconds, to exfoliate the skin. Rinse off with tepid water. Remember to moisturize as BHAs can be drying.

I find this an excellent mask to use once or twice a week. It makes your skin feel as soft as a babys bottom and helps to clarify skin tone and texture.

You may want to adjust the recipe to use it on Keratosis Pilaris since the aspirin mask is meant for the face. Use about 10-12 aspirin and added a little bit more warm water. Crush the aspirin in the water until it's a paste like texture (don't use too much water though, just enough to make it a thick paste) then apply it on your arms, legs or wherever you have KP. Leave it on until it dries (about 5-10 minutes) and then exfoliate in to your skin. Rinse off with warm water.

Unfortunately KP is a hereditary skin condition and there isn't an actual cure from it. Just be consistent in your treatments and I am sure you will find some relief.

And there you have it! Happy Wednesday! This week is going by FAST.

Top Facial Sunscreens

Thank you for your suggestions friends!
I will first start with one of Brianna's questions on what the best facial sunscreens are for summertime!
None of us like greasy sunscreens right??
And for me I feel like just plain old water babies on my face is too thick, oily and doesn't quite do the trick to keep those nasty sun rays away from your precious face.
Well I have definitely done my research and these are my top favorite sunscreen for your face:

Banana Boat Sun Wear Faces.
I have worn this stuff for many summers and have yet to get a single sun burn on my face.
I am telling you this stuff is GOOD and oil free! (And it has a nice fragrance)

Sugg. Retail: $4
I am obsessed with Clinique lately.
I haven't actually used this exact product but I have used their before makeup moisturizing sunscreen for daily use. (I clearly don't know the name of it). But this particular sunscreen was voted as being one of the best last summer.

Sugg. Retail $20
Aveeno all around has great products in my opinion.
This sunscreen too was voted as being one of the best last summer!

Sugg. Retail: $8
Of course it's important to always wear a moisturizer with an spf in it.
This is my favorite. Everyday use!

Sugg. Retail: $30

PROTECT YOUR FACE FROM THE SUN!
No one likes a leather face...... just sayin....

Another tip soon to come!
